Head of R&D at Satelligence
Rens holds a PhD in hydrology and soil science from Wageningen University, as a follow up of his MSc in Physical Geography and remote sensing from Utrecht University. His drive for translating customer needs into technical solutions, in combination with his passion for sustainability led him to Satelligence, as Head of R&D. Rens leads Satelligence’s efforts developing technical solutions that help companies achieve net-zero goals and become forest positive. He oversees Satelligence’s cloud infrastructure and determines how algorithms are best deployed. Ensuring that clients can take informed action, and achieve climate positive sourcing and investment decisions through a well-informed and traceable sustainable commodity production.
